Okanagan Wedding Photography

Quality memories are captured by experience, intuition and Photography Ninja skills!

Choose a photographer wisely!
I’ve been shooting weddings for 10 years and each one leaves me with sore cheeks from smiling so dang hard all day and sore arms from always having my camera ready for anything! I like to think of myself as a bit of a Photo Ninja – always in stealth mode, at the ready, looking for opportunities to strike just as the best moments unfold. Your big day is not something that can be repeated (unless you are getting married for a second…or third time) and the best moments are usually the ones that inexperienced photographers don’t anticipate because they haven’t shot enough weddings to develop the intuition for what’s coming. Make sure you do your research and find a photographer who not only resonates with your style and vision, but also knows enough to not $%#k up your photos or leave you disappointed in your choice. Ask to see a few full weddings, ask to see their contract, ask them about liability insurance (in case they, you know, $%#k up your photos), make sure they have backup equipment (in case they, I dunno, fall in a creek and get all their gear wet…this has NEVER happened to me…), etc. Don’t hire someone just because the “price is right”, hire someone because you love their work, are satisfied that they know what they’re doing, and trust that they will deliver what they say they will. It’s better to do a lot of research and pay for a quality photographer than to rush into it and then kick yourself later when you are disappointed and can’t do anything about it.

After 150 + weddings, I still love shooting them and I have a well-developed sixth sense for being in the right place at the right time. So do my regular second shooters. From the moment my camera gets turned on, I will be there, using my vast wedding shooting experience and mad ninja skills to capture the moments of your wedding that will blow you away and take you back, time and again, to re-live it all! And then, when all is said and done, I will deliver amazing quality photos and killer products to display them, in a timely manner (as in, not four months later) and with minimal fuss.
